On show #102 there was a segment about ringtones and mention was made of finding the ringtone for a 1950s vintage phone. Is this freely available? If so do you have a URL handy?
I've been listening to the tech show for a few months now and have been enjoying it a lot. Even, or perhaps specially, the playful banter. I have been using Linux (SuSE mainly) since 1997 or 8 but unlike many people I don't like experimenting with distros. Once I find something that works I tend to stick with it and couldn't be bothered trying to get new things working. I still use Windows quite a bit though as I work as a programmer in a WIndows shop and use it at home for processing and working with photographs as I have a few useful tools that I just haven't been able to find on Linux. I was a strong advocate of GIMP but my dislike of the new GTK file dialogs has allied with the power of some of the Photoshop tools to drive me towards Photoshop.

John Goerzen created his own 1950's ringtone. You could probably find a similar one. I've created a bunch of ringtones using Audacity. It's not that difficult.
