CDs. I've just burnt 19 copies of Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron, put each in a plastic envelope as well as a note that reads: "This is an Ubuntu Live CD. It lets you run your computer even if Windows or OS X doesn't work well. To use it, simply place it in your cd drive, reboot your computer(you may need to hit F12 or F2 to boot from your CD drive), select your language, and the 'Try Ubuntu...' option."
Now I'm wondering where these CDs would be most effectively placed. I don't work in a large company like ken_fallon so I don't have a conventient place to place them where they won't all get trashed. I am looking for a public place or maybe an accepting private business at which I can place these CDs. I'm thinking it's best to target budding geeks that may or may not have tried Linux yet. Any ideas?

I'd recommend against ever sticking burned media you've found lying around in your machine.
