Maybe this is too little, too late but did you know you can get flat ethernet cable for going under doors etc?

Actually, yeah, and I was going to order some of that, but I literally do not have enough room under my bedroom door for it. I mean it'd fit, but it would chew the crap out of it and those cables are expensive :-)

Screw it - just whipped out my 3/4 inch bit and went through the wall :-)

Places that are upgrading computer installations or just plain remodeling are an excellent places to get free cable and other goodies from dumpsters (with permission of course). Making cable ends is a snap. You will never know what you will find.

I have pulled tons of stuff out of Coporate dumpsters, just be careful to mind the whole trespassing issue.

Yes, I agree having permission is paramount!!!! Scanning the neighborhood early on trash day especially after xmas is interesting also.
