I'm finally making a "real" effort to learn python. I'm proposing an application to my bosses using python and wxwidgets. It will be a frontend to a mysql database. From what I've seen apps written with wxpython look very nice on all platforms. I've been checking out some of these videos:

I got wxpython working and started coding some basic apps. I have to say the code with wxpython is very easy to follow for someone coming from Java or C++. Multiple inheritance is very nice. Java can only do single inheritance.

It has been quiet around here for a while. I was hoping that there would be another summer study group session but it is too late for that. It is not that big of a deal though. My time has been tied up lately so I might not have been able to participate if anything happened.
Lately, I have been getting back into Django after not having messed with it extensively since around March. I don't have any good ideas about what to work on so I am re-writing my old blog project.
