Some info on Klik for Dann

Klik - originally stood for: "Kde-based Live Installer for Knoppix".

In my opinion, the best way to describe Klik is that it's a way for you to package apps. and it's dependancies, for easy download and execution and make them mobile.

You don't have to store the Klik .cmg file to your desktop. It can be stored anywhere... like your USB drive key. Automatically storing it to the desktop is to make it a process as easy as possible for the "newbie."

Put a bunch of Klik software packages on a USB key, take it to your friend's house, and run the apps from the USB key on his/her Debian PC. No installation on his/her PC required. Unplug the USB key and you take the applications with you.

I do believe that the distro. you're using it on has to be Debian based.... I think.

Yes, there's the disadavantage that the .cmg files are larger, but they're mobile, which is the real benefit, I think.

There's a way to get Klik working on Arch, as well. I'll have to spend some time on that in the near future.
