Microsoft, Novell Expand Interoperability Partnership

The goal of the Microsoft/Novell partnership, initiated in November of 2006, is to build a bridge between open source and proprietary software to deliver interoperability and intellectual property (IP) peace of mind for organizations operating mixed-source IT environments, said Susan Heystee, vice president and general manager of global strategic alliances at Novell.
I don't remember all the details. But when the whole patent protection racket originally came out about the Microsoft/Novell deal, didn't Novell really play that part of it down basically saying that was not the main goal? It's interesting (but not surprising) that in a pretty short time Novell has gone from that, to now bragging about how they conspired with MS to do a pay for protection racket and weaken FOSS for the whole community.

And we can see how that whole interoperability thing is paying off especially with regards to moonlight, mono and the streaming of the olympic videos. Great job guys!
