First time OLF

Well I got approval (From the Boss) to go to OLF this year . My first Linux/FOSS conference ever.

Great! The more the merrier 8) You will have a great time. Don't forget to bring some extra cash, because first timers have to pick up the tab at the pre and post conference parties. :shock: Just kidding

I wish I could go. :( I'm 21 now, so I could fully enjoy all of the debauchery and shenanigans associated with a Tech Show party. According to Google Maps it's a 12 hour drive from central MA. That's a bit out of my reach.

At least you could drive. I was looking to go but the whole trip was going to run over $400 including flight and room. Had to pass this year as my motorcycle is going in for a big service shortly and I just put on some new rubber too.

Look for a table full of guys in matching shirts huddled around a Mac laptop, passing out DVDs and raffle tickets. That will be the TLLTS crew. :)

It's always a good time, and this year has got to be huge.

A mac? No, not a Mac. A Dell XPSM1330, System76 or a mini notebook (Asus Aspire One or EEEPC). Allan is forbidden from bringing that thing along. We want a positive image :)

I thought it was Dann's Mac you guys used to use to burn DVDs all day? I think it was 2 years ago.

Dude, if you're bringing the Dell I'll be looking forward to seeing it. :)

Yeah 2 years ago Dann did have a Mac that was loaned to him by his old job. He got rid of that when he switched jobs. We'll be using my Dell to stream the show live. It will definitely be there.
