Once again DRM stiffles innovation and Apple does not come out smelling like roses. The question is do the sheeple even bat an eyelash?! Probably not.

this whole online music and movie stuff is just a mess.
I still just buy my cd's that I want and then I can do what I want with and copy them as many times as I want and change them into a codec that is free from the patent nonsense.
The mpaa and riaa are just botching the whole internet technology with their drm stuff.
It is getting to the point anymore that I don't really care about movies/tv or music anymore - I just have my music I listen too and that is about it. And besides watching sports on tv I really don't watch anything else except watch the disney channel/PBS with my daughter but that is about it.
I predict the IPOD will just fade away once the sheeple tire of having to rebuy their music because of either A) their ipod died and they don't have it backed or B) the drm has them locked out and they copied their songs to the limit C) both the drm won't let them copy their song and then their ipod dies and they are hosed.
I find it ironic that the name of the drm is fairplay - fairplay for who - the consumer or the riaa.
