Left handed people are smarter?

If left handed people are smarter, will using your left hand more than your right hand trigger something in your brain to allow you to be more intelligent?

I am right handed, and it's me constantly explaining political systems, and constitutional law to the ignorant Englishman (I'm kidding Allix!) just above.
I don't mind doing that, if I can broaden this individual's knowledge by sharing mine, that's a great thing to me, but gee, give a Wikipedia addict some credit, geez!

I'm usually right handed, but I've sort of taught myself to use the left hand for some other tasks (oh behave, you sickos :P). I remember reading an article about a particular musician who used the computer mouse on the left hand (this was years ago and the computer was a Mac). Since then, I thought it would be interesting to give it a run. Besides, the only way I could set up everything on this particular L desk in my room was with the synth on the right side, the Mac in the center, and the mouse set up to the left of me. Hence, I taught myself to use the mouse left-handed. I kept at it and I actually got good at gaming that way when I was running a Windows PC at the time. Eventually, it felt weird playing FPS games with the mouse on the right side. Now, I have the mouse for the iMac G5 on the left side and the mouse for the Slack PC on the right. This way, it allows me to multi-mouse easily. I'd use a KVM, but probably just for the keyboard. I've grown accustomed to the two mice. :)

I also use my fork with either hand, although as a kid I always used the knife on my left hand and the fork on the right (something I was made aware of as a child was "wrong", but I never understood that). I still can't write that great with my left hand, though.

I had read somewhere that left handed people had a shorter life span on average of 10 years than right handed people.

Lots of variables decide how long ones is going last .
Having a stressful job , drinking hard liqueur more than once a week, smoking, have red meat more than twice a week, having cake , not doing much exercise , depression , not eating enough and having lots of caffeine are just some of the things that can shorten ones life.
