WE NEED MIRRORS!
Subject pretty much says it!
As many of you know, I host the archive download space on my personal dsl line and as of late it has been eating nearly *all* of my bandwidth. In order for me to be able to check my email once in a while I really need some people to host archive mirror sites. If you can help, please let me know!

Sort of, Yes..mrben wrote:Can you give an indication of the space and bandwidth per month that would be required.
Right now, the complete archives comprise some 290 megs. This weekend the show was downloaded almost 300 times at 8-9 megs per download... (yeah!) Which is why I need a mirror or 4

Re: WE NEED MIRRORS!
A friend of mine (David) in the UK has come through big time and will be the first *full* mirror of the Tech Show archives. The first *current show* mirror belongs to Matt from Lug Radio and I thank him for that!Linc wrote:Subject pretty much says it!

All the necessary file copying is being done now and I expect to have the full mirror online sometime today. Thank you David! Whew!

It is good news! I really hop it keeps up this way. I just wish we could drum up some more content to add to the stream. Hey, how's that other show you were working on coming along? That sounds like a major upshift in the number of listeners! Fantastic!

The main thing I'm working on at the moment is an election special. We have some local and European Parliament elections in a couple of weeks. So, I'm interviewing various politicians and looking at how open source people can use their vote to help open source.Linc wrote:It is good news! I really hop it keeps up this way. That's very UK centric, tho'. May not be of interest to all stream listeners.
Other stuff will come after that.
