I've been looking to get a netbook for a while now. 2 days ago I bought a refurbed Dell Mini 12 from the Dell Outlet site. UPS just dropped it off an hour ago. That was fast. Looks really nice. Not a mark on it and booted up fine. Of course I got one with Ubuntu, no MS tax.
I was going to get a 10" netbook, but last week I finally got to actually play with my friend's Lenovo S10, and I realized that the 10" screen is just a little too small for me. I wanted something slightly bigger, but something that was still really cheap and lightweight. I think the Mini 12 is a good compromise.

Mine was refurbished, black, Z520 Atom, 40GB, 3 cell, Ubuntu listed for $289. After coupon and tax was $266.
I've seen a scratch & dent Ubuntu listed for $269, which would work out to about $240 after coupon and tax. Right now they have about 20 listed. I just saw a 6 cell Ubuntu listed for $319, which will cost you about $290 after coupon and tax. Just a heads up for anyone interested.
