FCC allows blocking of set-top box outputs

My heart skipped a beat when I first started reading this.
I use two HD-PVRs.

For a moment I thought my HD recordings off a cable or sat box would be disabled.

Further reading states that this "blocking" of the analog outputs of set top boxes can only be done for the first 90 days of a release (I guess PPV) and must be turned off after the blue ray or DVD's are released.

What are your thoughts? A signal of future problems? Terror?

This is basically broadcast flag2. First they start with "premium" content and then move on to everything else. This is not good.
