XBMC Script Mythbox

XBMC MythTV frontend "Mythbox" RC1 was released yesterday. It honors commercial skipping. This project is coming along nicely.

I installed it. I had to setup NFS from my frontend to the backend recordings directory and add my backend host name to /etc/hosts on the frontend. Other than that it is a pretty simple install. If you like XBMC give it a try.

Man, I'm really torn about this.

For the past several years, I've always wanted better mythtv functionality with xbmc. But now, I see that mythtv has improved tremendously and with the addition of arclight and the mythbuntu theme, I had all but left the idea of using xbmc as the front end.

Still, I'm going to DL it and hopefully vdpau is easy to set up with XBMC.

You're welcome. It is nice to have choices. I'm still evaluating XBMC Mythbox. I don't think it is there yet, but it is progressing. Let me know what you think.
