Newegg has the SiliconDust HDHomerun HDHR-T1-US Networked Digital HDTV Tuner for a low $69.99 Free Shipping

Note that this is the one tuner model and it does not contain the ir sensor. Only the two tuner model has the ir sensor.,

Is the ir sensor supported very well?

I had hoped to buy an nvidia ion box for a myth frontend backend and use the ir sensor with my remote.

The IR sensor on the two tuner hdhomerun is extremely useful and incredibly easy to use. In fact it was the easiest to set up and use for me.

Essentially you set up lircd to listen to a port for the infrared signals and using the silicon dust utility to output the signal to a specific ip address on a certain port.

I think 5000 is the standard port it uses.

I use it with one of my ion frontends.

Works great.
What else can I say?

Mark,
Thanks for all the information about the ir sensor. I'll have to decide if it is worth the extra money to get the two tuner model and the ir sensor. I was hoping to get the two tuner model on sale close to $110. But the best price I have seen is $130. I'm not in a hurry as my current myth machine is still plugging away with its pvr-250.

Thanks,
Andy

I have the dual tuner model and it's absolutely a great device. 0 problems with it. I sporadically see the dual tuner model on sale for $99. I'll post links as I see them.

Please do share the deal info when you catch it, I'm very tempted to get another one.
