This, I have to say, is great writing, funny and yet it has a lot of valid points (Like the one in the ending with drive letters not being so hot after all).
Also the thing the writer points out about standards is actually something I agree with, why the *beep*, write an alternative to X-Window!!!
I really look forward to the day we can compare a fully polished and elegant KDE 4.0 (With amaroK with Magnatunes intergration, digiKam, Konqueror, Firefox, Kontact, OpenOffice, hardware accelerated OpenGL effects) that is able to run on machines with less than 1 GB of RAM, against Mac OS X. My experience tells me that Windows users find it a lot eaisier getting used to KDE than the Mac OS X interface.
