uninstall 1.0.7?
;ok, someone beat me over the head... i used pkgtool to remove the firefox package (for 1.0.7), but i can still run it. what's up? does removing a slackware package in pkgtool not "uninstall" a program? (if not, i must be confused as to what pkgtool is for, so someone please enlighten me) is there some way i can clean the old install out of my system or should i just install firefox 1.5 overtop of the existing version? i hate kruft.
;btw, i'm running slack 10.2 (full install) with dropline gnome (vanilla install).

I noticed that KDE 3.5 is now in the ArchLinux "Extra" repository, rather than "Testing."Patrick wrote:I'm running the last RC and it seems real stable. KDE 3.5 is also coming out any day now.
I guess I can upgrade tonight when I get home!

When you take into considering that KDE 3.4.2 got into the Debian unstable repository only two months, or something like that, ago I think it will be a long time before KDE 3.5 enters the Debian unstable repository.Judland wrote:That will depend on when it's available through Debian SID. I don't know where you could find that out.![]()
Is there any news of this on the Kanotix forums?
