I have no idea. Maybe because we're in Canada makes a difference. You can't patent software here.

The danish copyright laws says that it's illegal to bypass copy protection, UNLESS that it's absolutely neseccary to play the CD or DVD or whatever digital medium you're trying to play, which includes songs bought on iTunes, so I think SharpMusique is legal as well. Isn't that what the canadian copyright laws says too?
Anyway, you know what should be done? We need a way to use BitTorrent more seemlessly, for instance if you choose to install libdvdcss via SUSE's YaST it could just pick the thing up via BitTorrent and then install it

ArchLinux is considered Canadian. Judd Vinet, founder, is from Victoria, BC.
