I'm still going to tell all of my friends to switch to Linux, instead of upgrading to Vista, when Microsoft forces them.

Yeah me too Vista is going to double or triple the system requirements to run it which is rediculous.

Yeah no kidding!
And people blames KDE for being bloated and slow, Vista will want 512 MBs of RAM as the minimum, and 1 GB for optimal performance!! And that's only for the 32-bit version, the 64-bit version is going to want 2 GBs of RAM for optimal performance!!!
I'm sure someone will port Fluxbox to Windows, if it isn't done already

The sad thing is, people will probably upgrade to Vista for the looks for it, I asked one of my friends who have been using Linux for a little while and recently switched to SuSE, which he's totally in love with by the way, if his friends using Windows would upgrade to Vista or switch Linux when Vista is released, he said they would upgrade to Vista because it just looks good (Now I do think the stuff we've seen so far of KDE4, some sexy icons, looks a lot better: http://www.oxygen-icons.org), let's hope someone will take that XGL from the drawing board and into reality so the KDE guys can use OpenGL to do stuff like transperancy and animations.

yeah Im excited to have KDE4 coming and Im sure you will be able to turn down the details so you don't need such high specs.

You can already do that very eaisily with KDE3, you just launch kpersonalizer, and turn it all the way down when it asks you about your processor speed.

Of course, but also I think a PC with 512 MB of RAM and something like 1.5 GHz will be fine, because enhancements in Qt4 should bring a big chunk of performance enhancements to KDE.
