Post by Jza » Sun Jan 15, 2006 10:45 pm

I w0nder if the TLLTS crew will m0ve m0re f0r technical stuff. Just based 0n what their fans want will they share their kn0wledge 0f s0me basics 0f linux. By basic 0f linux I mean basic 0f their fav0rite distr0s. F0r example just adding t0 the sh0w n0tees (bl0gs) the things they find different 0n kn0ttix/slackware/arch etc.

I w0nder if this is d0able 0r will this draw the sh0w t0 a techie nerdie b0ring sh0w.

After all is always m0re interesting t0 hear h0w y0u beating y0ur kids live. jk

We'll up the technical talk a bit. We have to be careful though, especially me. I tend to go overboard and get too indepth/complicated which makes for long, draw out shows that are difficult to keep up with without being able to look at notes, screen shots and the what not. Expect some technical talk about Arch and the GP2x this week.

I have no problem with the show getting more technical, but I don't think talking about distros is the right direction. If there's a new and innovative distro, sure; but most experienced Linux users have chosen and settled in on their favorite distros, not to mention lack time to experiment. Besides, you can get distro fanboyism any where.

I wouldn't mind if you guys got more technical about certain things, but even now, whenever I listen to the Tech Show, I don't feel like you're holding anything back. That's more than I can say for some other podcasts.
