Hi!
I looked over at the Firefox website and I couldn't find an extension that could let me get a Google Map for something on a webpage. I wrote up a small Firefox (>=1.5) extension that lets you select a piece of text on a webpage and map it in a separate tab in Firefox. I've submitted it to mozilla.org for inclusion, but in the mean time, you can try it out from http://www.fsl.cs.sunysb.edu/~aaranya/mapthis.html

Greasemaps?

It automatically creates a box on the top of the page where you can click to get a map of all addresses on the page. The recognition of addresses is low (too many false positives), but true addresses are mapped well.

The Mozilla people accepted the extension. It's availabe at: https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/m ... hp?id=1886 . I've added support for Yahoo, Google, and A9 maps. Do check it out and if you have any suggestions and improvements. I could spend some time improving it, but I'm out of ideas.
