Linux gaming

Just wondering what games you guys like to play on your *nix boxes. I've got these installed right now, although Doom 3 and Quake 4 run a alittle rough on my GeForce 6200.

Quake 4 Demo
Doom 3
Frozen-Bubble
Enemy Territory
Tux Kart
Planet-Penguin Racer
Invasion 3D
UT
UT 2004
America's Army

Now and then I play Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament 2004, but mostly I stick with my GameCube for my gaming needs, I grew up with Mario, Donkey Kong, Metroid and Zelda, and I'm not leaving those games ever!!

All the (bad) games that come with KDE, Glest, Darwinia Demo, Cube, Doom 3 Demo, Enemy Territory, Metal Blob Solid: Blob Wars, Nexuiz, Quake 4 Demo, Quake 4 (full game)

I mostly stick to consoles as well. I use my PS2 the most, although I have my GC hooked up too, and an Xbox in the closet. Between all the games available for Linux, classic console emulation, and my PS2/GC, I'm happy. I do wish there was a way to install Linux on the PS2 without modification, since I have it networked, and have a hard drive installed.

^ has lots of great games I've already found a bunch of games I need to install and some I should buy. I submited it to Digg and it hit the front page so its very slow, you might want to try the Coralized version if its too slow

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (running on Cedega)
Tux Kart
X-Change 2 (running on Wine)
Eternal Fighter Zero (running on Wine)

There are probably others but that is all that I can think of.

Consoles where made for gaming you know, also one of the reasons I stick with consoles is that most of the games I enjoy playing are not suitable for the keyboard and mouse controls, games like Mario, Zelda and Spider-Man are just a real pain the butt to play on a keyboard and mouse. I think with th the Revolution, Nintendo will the first to make FPS games suitable for console play.

That is true but you could get a cheap USB controller and that obstacle would be eliminated. Most USB controllers aren't really that great so I have a PS2 to USB controller converter. They work great under Linux, except the Red Octane one which hasn't worked since the later 2.4 kernels. Also, another option is to buy the Xbox 360 wired controller since there is a Linux driver for it.

I gave up in PC controllers a long time ago, because I found them too hard to install and configure, and it's all in all a mess, also, it's almost only first person shooter games that's available for Linux on the PC, so it doesn't make any sense anyway to buy a USB controller since the FPS genre is not that great with tradtional style controllers, and it's a pain to configure them sometimes.
