M$ is just being more blatant than usual. What I want to know is why they bother employing Bill Hilf and others to pretend that M$ wants to cooperate with linux? I hope I see him at the upcoming LWE in Boston. I'll ask him that question point blank along with some other zingers as well.

You would think that, if Microshaft wanted to cooperate with Linux they would have at least made this article on how to DUAL BOOT with Linux, rather than remove it.
No matter what their P.R. office releases, no matter how far in the future, I'll NEVER trust Microshaft corporation or software to do any good... other than for their own self gain.

Hear hear! I do think it is humorous that there needs to be an article like this. I would suspect that a person who is capable of installing Linux has somewhat of an understanding of disk partitioning having gone through the process and should be able to wipe out existing partitions in order to install Windows. Maybe, though, that's the fault of the Windows installer, it's not clear enough that you must do this.

Now let's be fair. Really... how many retailers are selling PCs with Linux pre-installed? With that in mind, and taking into account the market share M$ Windows has over Linux on the desktop, this sort of article is really un-justified and not really needed. This was just done out of spite... nothing more, from what I can determine.
