OT: Recommendations for DVD-Recorder
Hi Guys,
I thought I would ask some techie guys what they use or recommend. My DVD player just died, so I thought I would upgrade to a DVD recorder. Any suggestions as to what you use and like? Also let me know of any pitfalls you have noticed?

I picked up an oem NEC ND-354OA (now it's called ND-355OA) from newegg for less than $40 and it has worked perfectly for me in Slackware.

I wasn't looking for a DVD-Drive for the computer, but a stand alone DVD-Recorder to hook up to my TV, but I will check out your link for a replacement for my DVD-Drive on one of my computers.

Have you ever had any issues with different brands of DVD+R or DVD+RW discs not being recognized or getting ruined discs that were burned?

Never, and I am a cheap bastard too and only buy whatever is on sale when I need more so I tend to get bottom of the barrel mediamowestusa wrote:Linc,Linc wrote: I have an ILO that I bought from walmart a while ago. Works fine for me!
