You can probably get them even cheaper ($5) from vendors in Chinatown in NYC. The kicker is that they're probably made by slave labor in the same Chinese factories as the Apple cases. The artsie/fartsie crowd love their Apple crap and are willing to look the other way when it gets totally out of hand. The Steve Jobs reality distortion field is in full effect.

To be fair, I don't think I've heard anyone say they aren't obscenely overpriced.
