Apple Mini-Review - Oh snap

Not my usual place for reading up on technology; a co-worker forwarded this to me after railing on the $99.00 iPod cast:

Pertty harsh, but on the money.

FOX News. Time and time again the slogan says it all "fair and balanced". lol

I love this slogan...
""The $99 Leather iPod Case: Milking Customers Daily"

In my opinion, Apple is making too many product announcements. They are going to make anyone interested in buying an Apple wait so they don't buy something that is no longer the newest version of the product. Like the ones who bought photo Ipods right before the video ones came out. Thank god they have the billion itunes downloads to keep them going.

Deleting this week's TWIT ten minutes into the Podcast reminded me of the feeling I got when I deleted my Windows partition. I like Leo Laporte and have learned a lot from him over the past years , but he has become the worst Apple fan-boy. There's only so much that my $40 mp3 player can stand.

Thats how they make all the money. They flood the market and all the Apple lunatics will buy it all just because Apple made it. I know someone who had an iPod G4 or G3 and they just got an iPod with video because there older iPod was "out of date". The only thing they got was video and a color screen and they were willing to pay $150+ for it (they sold their older one). It is rediculous.

btw sorry for the rant I had to get that off my chest

Still using my gen3 15g here. I'm holding out for the neuros3 or to hear that Cowon America has drastically changed how they deal with customers. I do have to say that my wife's iPod Video (or whatever) is a HELL of a lot nicer than my iPod. The controls are what they should be - apple NEVER should have moved away from the gen1 controls. The gen2/3 controls are absolute shit.

Apple may be proprietary, etc, etc, but at least OSX is unix-like under the hood. I'd rather use a mac than windows, by an order of magnitude.

Imho companies should consolidate their business and do what they're good at. Apple should become a DRMusic company. Sony should become a console video game company. And Microsoft? MS should become an ergonomic keyboard company.
