I upgrade my kde to 3.5.2 on ubuntu and it may just be me but konqueror is a whole lot faster web browsing - it is just as fast if not faster than firefox on my amd64 machine.

Yeah it does seem some what faster now that I think about it. Although Konqueror seems to want to wait for the whole, or most, of the page to load before it renders it while firefox renders what it gets when it gets it (at least for me) so its hard to compare.
