Nagios

Our local LUG, TriLUG, has its monthly meeting at the Red Hat offices here in Raleigh and tonight the topic is the Nagios network monitoring application. Has anyone ever used Nagios? I've never tried it but it looks interesting.

I use it daily, all day, as part of our network monitoring. Great little app. More server oriented than network device oriented IME.

I went to the TriLUG meeting last night at Red Hat and saw the Nagios presentation -- pretty cool stuff. The guys who put on the presentation work at a company called Broadwick and they put up a bunch of their Nagios scripts, plugins, and config files here:
