just went to the suse road show today and I thought it was pretty interesting
there was a really good turnout in saint louis
Of course they showed xgl off
but they showed the ha clustering tool along with xen which I thought was really cool. an interesting note about this subject is you can buy a copy of suse linux and you can put as many virual machines as you think your machine will hold of suse linux and not pay any additional licenses. It is all supported from the copy you originally bought for the machine.
but the xen stuff to me looked really cool and can really see it being used on data center boxes to get the most utilization out of them - consolidate and use less electricity is the name of the game - at least that is what we are after in our data center.
anyway - I would suggest going if anybody gets a chance - it was interesting and I enjoyed it.
