She then tells me, "without so much as batting an eye, the sales person tells me to go on to the Internet and download OpenOffice for free and not to waste money on MS-Office."
"I almost fell to the floor," she finishes telling me as she chuckled to herself.
So, there you have it, there are still some good, honest sales people out there. One of them is working at our local Staples store.
Because of what the sales person told her, my co-worker says that she'll be going back to that particular store and that particular sales person for future purchases.
Chalk up one more point for OpenOffice.
